Chiron in Taurus: Relearning What Sustains Us
On June 19, 2026, Chiron leaves Aries and enters Taurus, beginning a new chapter in our collective healing journey that will unfold over the next six to seven years.
While Chiron is not traditionally considered an outer planet, its sign changes are significant. Chiron takes approximately fifty years to orbit the Sun, and because its orbit is highly elliptical, it spends dramatically different amounts of time in each zodiac sign. Chiron spent nearly eight years in Aries, making this transition especially meaningful.
In astrology, Chiron is often called the "Wounded Healer." It represents the places where we carry our deepest wounds, but also the wisdom and medicine that emerge through our healing journey. Chiron reminds us that healing is not about becoming perfect or wound-free. Rather, it is about becoming whole.
Since 2018, Chiron's journey through Aries has invited us to examine questions of identity, autonomy, courage, and self-definition. Individually and collectively, we have been asked to consider who we are, what we stand for, and how we claim our right to exist authentically.
As Chiron enters Taurus, the focus shifts.
The question is no longer simply, "Who am I?"
The question becomes, "Can I feel safe being who I am?"
Taurus is associated with the body, the Earth, resources, values, security, nourishment, and self-worth. Over the coming years, we may find ourselves exploring deeper questions about what truly sustains life. We may be asked to heal our relationship with scarcity, abundance, rest, receiving, and belonging.
This transit arrives at a particularly interesting moment. After years of rapid change, technological acceleration, economic uncertainty, and collective upheaval, many people are experiencing profound exhaustion. Chiron in Taurus invites us back into relationship with what is tangible and enduring: the body, nature, community, seasonal rhythms, and the wisdom of the Earth.
As both an astrologer and herbalist, I find this transition especially compelling. Taurus reminds us that healing is not always dramatic. Sometimes healing arrives through a walk in nature, a nourishing meal, a cup of herbal tea, a garden, a moment of rest, or a renewed connection with the natural world.
Over the next several years, we may witness growing conversations around food sovereignty, regenerative agriculture, herbal medicine, nervous system regulation, and sustainable ways of living. Not as passing trends, but as meaningful responses to a collective need for greater stability and connection.
Perhaps Chiron in Aries taught us how to become ourselves.
Perhaps Chiron in Taurus will teach us how to sustain ourselves.
In this podcast, we explore the mythology and astronomy of Chiron, reflect on the themes of the past eight years, examine historical parallels from previous Chiron cycles, and consider what this new chapter may ask of us individually and collectively.
As always, I invite you to listen not only with your mind, but with your body. The wisdom of this transit may be found as much in what you feel as in what you think.
Thank you for being here.
Love and Blessings,
Lisa Marie
