Astrocartography Chart Reading
Some places awaken parts of us that remain quiet elsewhere. We may feel unusually at home in one location, inspired and visible in another, or challenged to grow in ways we did not anticipate.
An astrocartography chart takes the planetary patterns of your birth chart and places them across a map of the world. It shows where the Sun, Moon, planets, and other meaningful points were rising, setting, overhead, or beneath the Earth at the moment you were born.
An Astrocartography Chart Reading helps you understand how different locations may activate particular themes in your life. Whether you are considering a move, planning meaningful travel, exploring a new professional direction, or simply trying to understand your connection with a particular place, this reading offers a personalized map of your relationship with the world.
What Is an Astrocartography Chart?
An astrocartography chart—often called an astrocartography map—is a form of locational astrology based on your exact birth date, birth time, and birthplace.
Your natal chart describes the planetary pattern present at the time of your birth. Astrocartography projects that pattern onto a world map, creating planetary lines that pass through different locations.
Each planet is represented through four primary angles: the Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, and IC. These angles relate to different areas of experience, including identity, relationships, career, visibility, home, family, and inner life.
Your map does not divide the world into places that are simply “good” or “bad.” Each location emphasizes different parts of your chart and invites a different expression of your life.
What Your Astrocartography Map Can Reveal
Your astrocartography chart can help us explore questions such as:
Where might I feel most at home?
Which places may support career development or greater visibility?
Where might relationships and connection become more prominent?
Which locations may encourage creativity, healing, or spiritual growth?
Why have certain places felt important, difficult, or transformative?
What energies might I experience in a city I am considering?
How might travel activate a part of my chart without requiring a permanent move?
The purpose of the reading is not to name one perfect place where everything will unfold easily. It is to help you understand what different locations may call forward within you.

Relocation, Travel, Career, Love and Home
People seek astrocartography readings for many different reasons. You may be considering a permanent relocation, choosing between several cities, planning a meaningful journey, or wondering why you have always felt drawn to a particular part of the world.
We can orient the reading around the area of life that matters most to you.
For career and public life, we may examine locations connected with visibility, leadership, opportunity, creativity, or professional responsibility. For love and relationships, we may explore places that emphasize partnership, attraction, emotional connection, or important relational lessons.
If you are seeking a greater sense of home, we can look at locations associated with rootedness, family, inner life, and belonging. If travel is your focus, we can consider places that may support exploration, learning, restoration, spiritual experience, or personal renewal.
Understanding Your Planetary Lines
Each planetary line carries a different quality, but no line should be interpreted in isolation.
A Venus line may emphasize relationships, harmony, creativity, or beauty, while a Jupiter line may bring themes of expansion, education, confidence, or opportunity. A Saturn line may involve responsibility, discipline, endurance, or meaningful long-term building. Neptune may heighten imagination and spirituality while also asking for clarity and discernment.
The angle also matters. A planet on the Midheaven may be expressed through career and public life, while that same planet on the IC may be experienced more deeply through home, family, and the inner self.
During your reading, I place these lines within the context of your complete natal chart. This is what makes a personal interpretation different from a general description generated by an online astrocartography calculator.
What We Will Explore
Before our session, you will be invited to share the locations and questions that feel most important to you. I will prepare your natal chart and personalized astrocartography map in advance.
During the reading, we may explore:
The major planetary lines on your map
Places where several influences overlap
Locations you have already lived in or visited
Cities or regions you are considering
Supportive and challenging expressions of each location
Themes involving love, career, home, creativity, or spiritual growth
The relationship between your astrocartography map and natal chart
Relocation charts for specific places when they offer useful additional insight
We will focus on the locations most relevant to your actual life rather than attempting to interpret every line across the entire world.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
These terms are often used interchangeably. Your astrocartography chart is presented visually as a world map marked with planetary lines. The map shows where the planets in your birth chart were connected with the Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, and IC at the moment of your birth.
-
Yes. An accurate birth time is especially important in astrocartography because the planetary lines are calculated from the angles of your birth chart. Even a relatively small difference in birth time can shift the location of those lines.
If your recorded birth time is uncertain, please let me know before booking so we can determine whether the available information is sufficient for this type of reading.

Before the session, you will identify the locations and questions most important to you. We will prioritize a manageable group of cities or regions so that we can examine them with meaningful depth during our 90 minutes together.
-
Your chart can reveal places that emphasize particular areas of life, but there is rarely one universally “best” location. A city that supports professional visibility may feel very different from one that emphasizes home, relationships, restoration, or spiritual development.
The purpose of the reading is to help you understand the opportunities, experiences, and possible challenges connected with different locations so you can make a more informed decision.
-
No. Planetary lines can be experienced through travel, temporary stays, professional relationships, creative work, cultural connections, and other meaningful engagement with a place. A permanent relocation is only one way of exploring locational astrology.
-
They are related but distinct techniques. An astrocartography map provides a global view of where your planetary energies are emphasized. A relocation chart recalculates the houses and angles of your natal chart for one particular location.
When helpful, we may use a relocation chart to examine a specific city in greater depth after identifying it through your astrocartography map.
-
Astrocartography is one source of insight rather than a substitute for practical research and personal discernment. Employment, finances, family, community, safety, healthcare, immigration requirements, and your direct experience of a place should all be considered when making an important relocation decision.
Your Relationship With Place
Astrocartography reminds us that place is not merely a backdrop to our lives. Different landscapes, cities, and cultures may call forward different dimensions of who we are.
Your astrocartography chart can help you understand where particular themes may become more visible, where you may be invited to grow, and why certain places have already left such a profound impression upon you.
If you are considering a move, planning meaningful travel, or seeking a deeper understanding of your relationship with the world, I would be honored to explore your map with you.
