Astrocartography: What Your Birth Chart Reveals About Place
Have you ever arrived somewhere new and immediately felt at home—or found yourself fascinated by a place you have never visited? Astrocartography offers a way to explore these experiences by mapping the planets in your birth chart across the Earth.
In this episode of Everything is Energy, I explain how an astrocartography chart is created, what the planetary lines and four angles represent, and why an accurate birth time is so important. We also consider how different locations may bring particular parts of the natal chart—and particular parts of ourselves—more fully into expression.
Astrocartography can help us investigate where we may experience greater visibility in our work, a deeper sense of belonging, important relationships, creative inspiration, spiritual development, or profound transformation. It can also help us understand why a former home or meaningful journey affected us so deeply.
I also explore the relationship between intuition and place, including the experience of feeling drawn toward a country, city, or landscape before discovering that an important planetary line passes nearby. The map does not make our decisions for us, but it can help us ask more thoughtful questions about where we live, work, travel, create, and grow.
Near the end of the episode, we look at Julia Child’s move to France as a real-life example of how a place can awaken potential already present within the natal chart.
If you are considering a move, comparing several locations, or curious about the geography of your own birth chart, I also offer personalized astrocartography readings. An in-depth companion guide to the planetary lines and angles is coming next and will be linked here.
