Pluto Direct in Aquarius: Becoming Conscious of Our Power

I’ve been thinking recently about the relationship between awareness and power. When we begin to recognize a pattern in our lives, something shifts. We may still have feelings to process or decisions to make, but we can see more clearly how we have been participating—and where another choice might be possible.

Pluto’s direct station in Aquarius on October 15, 2026, offers a meaningful moment to explore this. After being retrograde since May, Pluto begins moving forward through the early degrees of Aquarius, bringing us back to questions of transformation, influence, and our participation in a changing world.

At the heart of Everything Is Energy is my understanding that we are powerful creators. Becoming more conscious of that creative capacity involves looking honestly at our beliefs, our expectations, and the agreements we continue to live by. It also involves recognizing that other people have their own agency. We can understand our part in an experience while remaining clear about what belongs to someone else.

What has become clearer since May?

Pluto stations direct at 3°04′ Aquarius, returning to forward apparent motion after its retrograde began on May 6 at 5°30′ Aquarius. Astronomically, Pluto continues orbiting the Sun throughout this cycle. The apparent reversal comes from the changing relationship between Earth’s motion and Pluto’s position against the background stars.

Astrologically, we can work with these repeated passages as opportunities to encounter a theme, reconsider it, and meet it again with greater understanding.

Think back over the months since May. Have you become more aware of a relationship dynamic, an attachment, or a role you have outgrown? Have you noticed how much energy you spend anticipating someone else’s reaction? Perhaps you have discovered a strength or desire that deserves more room in your life.

Pluto moves slowly, and the direct station allows time to consider how those discoveries might inform your next steps.

Our power within the collective

In Aquarius, Pluto brings questions of power into communities, networks, technology, and the systems through which we organize our lives. Our personal experience becomes part of a larger inquiry about belonging and individuality.

Most of us want to feel connected to something meaningful. Yet belonging can become uncomfortable when maintaining it requires us to silence our own perception. We may notice a gap between a group’s stated values and the way people are treated, or recognize that an arrangement leaves little room for questions.

These observations give us information. How are decisions made? Can people disagree and remain respected? Who has influence, and how is that influence used?

Technology belongs in this conversation too. Digital networks and artificial intelligence offer possibilities for learning, creativity, and collaboration, while raising questions about attention, discernment, and dependence. Becoming conscious of our power includes considering how we use these tools and what we help strengthen through our participation.

Venus square Pluto: revisiting our relationship stories

In my recent Venus retrograde podcast, I explored the opportunity to revisit relationship stories of all kinds. Pluto deepens that inquiry by asking how power operated within those experiences.

Retrograde Venus in Scorpio squares Pluto on October 19 in Pacific Time. This contact brings values, affection, reciprocity, and shared resources into conversation with attachment, control, and transformation.

We may recognize that being needed has become central to our sense of worth. Perhaps we have been giving more than we can comfortably sustain, while hoping our generosity will secure a connection. Or we may discover an expectation we never actually communicated.

These patterns deserve compassion. Understanding how they developed can help us recognize what we want to do differently now. A clearer agreement, an honest request, or a boundary may become possible.

The same awareness can support conversations about money and shared responsibilities. Knowing who contributes, who decides, and what each person expects can create a stronger foundation for trust.

The Taurus Full Moon: familiarity and genuine support

The Taurus Full Moon occurs on October 25 at 9:12 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, at 2°46′ Taurus. The Moon opposes the Scorpio Sun, and both closely square Pluto in Aquarius, creating a fixed T-square. The Sun’s exact square to Pluto follows on October 26.

This configuration brings questions of security into focus. Taurus invites us to consider the body, resources, the land, and the rhythms that sustain us. Scorpio asks us to look at the emotional complexity of what we share and what we hold tightly.

Sometimes an arrangement feels reassuring because we know how to function within it. We understand our role, even when that role has become exhausting. Change introduces uncertainty, but it can also create space for support that better reflects who we are now.

I find it helpful to ask: What actually sustains me? What am I maintaining because it is familiar?

The answer may lead to a significant decision, or to a small adjustment that makes daily life more workable. Both can be meaningful expressions of our power.

Uranus trine Pluto: practicing another possibility

On November 29, Uranus in Gemini trines Pluto in Aquarius at 3°32′, continuing a series of exact contacts that began in July 2026 and extends through 2028.

Symbolically, this brings experimentation, learning, and new perspectives into relationship with deep structural change. We can explore how an idea becomes a different way of participating—in our relationships, our communities, and the wider world.

There is considerable creative potential here. How we use it matters. New tools and networks can support broader participation, and they can also concentrate influence. We can remain curious about both possibilities while choosing what we want to help build.

Personally, this might begin with a small experiment: asking for help sooner, expressing a preference more clearly, or trying an approach you previously assumed was unavailable to you.

Bringing awareness into daily life

Pluto leaves its retrograde shadow on February 6, 2027, when it returns to the degree where the May retrograde began. It remains direct until May 8, 2027. These dates give us markers within a longer process of integration.

What interests me most is how awareness becomes something we live. We notice a pattern, make a different choice, and learn from what follows. Over time, those choices can reshape the relationships and structures in which we participate.

Becoming conscious of our power invites us to recognize that our attention, our agreements, and our responses matter.
